"A New Day Is Dawning" Triptych

Each Panel Measures 48 3/4" x22 1/2"
Oil on Canvas
This is the large image that the small study was for. I wanted it to be representational with an abstract quality.
The individual panels are not in the correct order. The window with the 3 all together shows how it is to hang.

"Sunny Day At The Park" GIFTED

GIFTED
11"x14" Oil on Canvas
I love the "tunnel" created by the large Oak Trees in this park... They almost look as if they are reaching out to give a hug. I liked the organic shapes of the trees in contrast next to the newly renovated Band Stand.
What a glorious day to be out painting!

"Tree Study - White Point Gardens" SOLD

SOLD

10"x8" Oil on Canvas

The Oak Trees in Charleston are full of gesture and movement. . . it's like painting a figure. Plus, I just had to paint something else as an excuse to remain outside on this gorgeous day!!

"Solitude on the Ashley"

12"x12" Oil on Canvas
A fellow painter, Rick, suggested this spot. I had no idea it existed! What a find. . . this is the head waters of the Ashley River in Charleston, SC. It was so beautiful. I could have painted several view points, but this guy fishing with his bright orange hat was begging to be caught on canvas!

"Queen Street in Spring" SOLD

SOLD
12"x9" Oil on Linen on Board
I actually painted this last Friday. It was one of the first warm sunny days we'd had in a while and I wasn't going to allow this day to pass me by without getting out there to paint!
It was fun. I felt like a Rock Star as tourists watched me produce this painting. I stayed focused and just enjoyed the day!

"Oak Tree Pathway"

9"x12" Oil on Linen on Board
I missed my Wednesday Painters today but time constraints kept me inland. Here I found a sweet little spot lush with beautiful vignettes. I wish I had more time to spend there. Perhaps another day.

"Sun-Seekers"

8"x10" Oil on Gallery-Wrapped Canvas
We were all "seeking the sun" this day as the rain and cold kept us inside. But Spring is here! And the following days promise higher temps and sunnier days!

"A New Day Is Dawning - Study"

8"x10" Oil on Canvas
This was a quick study of the sun rising through the trees in my backyard. . . I loved the "hot" pink peeking through the wooded wetlands. . . I couldn't resist!

"Neighborhood by the Sea" GIFTED

9"x12" Oil on Linen mounted on Gatorboard
NFS - GIFTED
A very cold day indeed! I had to stop painting when my hands went numb and were stiff from the cold! But it was still a fun morning out. Missed my fellow Plein Air painters. . . next week for sure!
