"Gardens of the Old Village" SOLD

One of the most charming neighborhoods I've ever seen is located right here in Charleston South Carolina and is aptly named the "Old Village." Here, the sometimes centuries-old homes and their well manicured properties have hosted film productions, catalog model shoots and has been the muse of many books and poems.

It was a beautiful day! No humidity, Loads of Sunshine and friendly faces passing by.

"Fragrant Early Blooms"
11"x14" Oil on Linen/Birch Board panel
This month's theme for The Charleston Artist Collective is "Intoxicating" and that is exactly my reaction to one of my favorite spring flowers, Hyacinths. To my surprise, I found these sprouting where I had set the pots aside last fall after cutting them down, thinking they were only a season away from the trash! They look so pretty that I put them by my front porch. Along side my watering can, they made a pretty little display that I had to paint it! Happy Springtime everyone!
