This sweet little still life was begging to be painted after a long day of painting en plein air. My hostess had this beautiful pitcher of hydrangeas sitting on her kitchen counter near the window, and I painted this as the sun set outside under natural lighting. As this painting progressed, I found I couldn't see the color in the values anymore, so I had to stop here.
I like how it turned out despite my race against the clock to get it down before dark.
