From the Life Drawing Series. . . .
"The Red Door - Painting in Primary & Secondary Hues"
9"x12" Original Plein Air Oil on Canvas .
Despite the tremendous high wind gusts and the cold temperatures
(I painted with "fingerless" gloves!)
I just had to paint this house!
The Red Door, the Cobalt Blue Car parked in front, the Green Ivy growing all over the facade and the little ochre Yellow shades in the windows captured my eye dramatically!
Half way through the painting, though, someone got into that car and drove off!!
After my palette blew away for the third time, I packed it up. I think I'd like to try this one again on a less "dramatic" day (ha ha)

"All in a Row - An Avenue of Oaks"
SOLD Original 10"x8" Plein Air Oil on Linen Board
Crushed Oyster roads lined with magnificent Oak Trees capture the dancing sunlight filtering through the webs of massive Oak Tree branches.
These eye-catching "tunnels" draw me to paint them every time.
